TO ENROLL IN A JAPANESE LANGUAGE CLASS

STUDENTS WITH NO PRIOR BACKGROUND IN JAPANESE may enroll directly into 1A after signing the exempt form. The form is available from the UCI Academic Testing Center, 3040 AIRB.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students wanting to enroll in a Japanese language class in Fall 2014 can get details about registration and dates of placement tests offered for new students during the summer months via the UCI Academic Testing Center's web site: http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu. For students who complete placement tests during the summer, oral tests (interviews) will be offered from 12:00-2:00pm on Monday, September 29, 2014, in HIB 379. It is on a walk-in basis and an appointment is not required. Make sure to bring your language background survey and test results with you

Students registered in any section of Japanese MUST ATEND THE FIRST and SECOND class meetings. Any students who does not meet this condition will be required to drop the class.
