School of Humanities
 School of Humanities comments: 
 THE ADD/DROP POLICY FOR ALL COURSES IN THE SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES IS THAT ADDS AND DROPS MUST BE EFFECTED PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES (APRIL 14, 2006). 
 A lab fee may be assessed for those courses using the Humanities computer labs for class sessions. 
 Enrollment in lecture and discussion, lecture and studio, lecture and lab, lecture and studio and discussion, etc. is required for all courses offered by the School of Humanities, as well as any courses cross-listed with a Humanities offering. 
 For all non-EAD (electronic add/drop) courses in the School of Humanities, the waitlist for each course is DEACTIVATED at the end of the WebReg adjustment period (March 29, 2006 at 5:00 p.m.). If you have not been admitted to the class via the wait list by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, you are no longer on any wait list for any of the non-EAD courses in Humanities. Once instruction begins (April 3, 2006), all adds and drops are subject to the policy of each instructor. 
 Adds, drops and grade/unit changes (all non-EAD courses only) processed within the first two weeks of courses via the add/drop/change card require the signature of the instructor. The only exception to this policy is for Humanities Core (course codes 29000-29112). All enrollment changes for Humanities Core are signed in their departmental office, HIB 185.

 Vietnamese department comment: 
 Students registered in any section of Vietnamese 1C, or 2C MUST ATTEND THE FIRST and SECOND class meeting of the course or will be required to drop the class with a drop card. 
 Vietmse 1 courses:
 
 Students wishing to enroll in Vietnamese language classes for the first time in spring 2006 must take the placement test on Friday, March 2, 2006. Contact the Testing Office at testoff@uci.edu or call (949)824-6207 or visit their web site at http://www.testingoffice.uci.edu for details about registration. For all other inquiries, contact Tri Tran, Vietnamese language advisor, at tritran@uci.edu. Bring the test results with you to the Faculty Oral Interview on Tuesdays, March 7, 2006 between 10 am and 12 noon in HIB 468. Placement information and authorization codes will be issued during the interview. 
 Students who wish to continue to the next level of Vietnamese, i.e. 1C, or 2C, should contact their instructor for approval. Authorization codes will be distributed in class beginning the week of March 6, 2006. Enrollment preference will be given to students who complete 1B, or 2B in winter 2006.
