Show Units: The number of units approved for each course.
Show
Instructor Function:
Numerical designation for the role of the instructor in the course:
1  Teaching and in charge of course. (Primary Instructor)
2Teaching, but not in charge of course. (Teaching Assistant)
3In charge of course, but not teaching; common for labs and discussions. (Faculty Advisor for TA)
4Not teaching or in charge of course, but training teaching assistants.
9Not actively involved in teaching, but needs EEE access. (Administrative Access)
Show Time and Place: The time, date, and location the class meets.
Show Enrolled: Number of students enrolled in each course.
Note: The Registrar does not directly register students for Summer Session courses, so classes during these sessions are marked as having 1 student each. The actual students enrolled in a Summer Session course will be listed correctly when you display the roster.
Show MaxCap: ("Maximum Capacity") Total number of students allowed to enroll in each course.
Show Requests: The number of students who requested the course online using WebReg.
Show WaitList: The number of students who would like to add the course but were placed on the waitlist during registration.
Show WebGrades Status: Displays an instructor's current status (Subscribed or grades Locked and Officially Submitted) if they are using WebGrades to send their final course grades to the Registrar (faculty can access WebGrades at: https://www.reg.uci.edu/perl/WebGrades).
Font Size Percentage: If JavaScript is enabled for your web browser (you don't need to enable "Java" itself), you can enter a percentage value greater than 100 to increase the size of the fonts in the course table listing, or you can enter a value less than 100 to decrease the sizes (say, to print the course listing output on a single page).
Skip classes if
0 course units:
Clicking this option causes the program to skip courses in the listing with 0 units.
Skip classes if
0 students enrolled/requested:
Clicking this option causes the program to skip courses in the listing that haven't been requested by students and have no students enrolled.
Skip classes if
cancelled:
Clicking this option causes the program to skip courses in the listing that have been cancelled.
Show Instr ID: Displays the Instructor ID that was entered for an instructor in the Registrar's ESOC program by a department's SOC Coordinator. The instructor ID can be either an instructor's employee ID or his UCInetID. If the Instructor ID matches someone in our employee records from NACS, clicking this check box will cause both IDs to be displayed, with the one matching the ESOC Instructor ID marked in bold text:
      012345678 / ANTEATER
or:
      012345678 / ANTEATER

If the instructor ID in ESOC does not match a UCI employee, it will be listed with question marks before and after:
      ???  012345678  ???
to mark it as an entry that needs to be corrected in ESOC by the local department's SOC Coordinator.

Skip classes if
not Subscribed or Locked in WebGrades:
This option allows a quick listing of the courses where faculty have subscribed to or have locked in final course grades for the Registrar via the WebGrades program. You might, for instance, check this box and then enter "0-99999" in the "5-digit Course Codes" input box for a listing of all such courses.

Course Num:
("Course Number") The department's designation for an approved course (e.g. Art History 198, Social Ecology 10, French 1c). You may list single course numbers or a course number range, such as 5-20.
Specifying a course number without letters will show a match with any course containing that number (for instance, "1" for the Chemistry department might display classes matching Chemistry 1B, 1LB, 1C, and 1LC), while adding letters will only return an exact match (i.e., "1C" in the example above will only display Chemistry 1C).

Instructor Last Name:
Specify all, or the first few letters, of an instructor's last name and the program will return all courses with an instructor matching that name.
Hint: If the instructor name is short and matches too many other last names (e.g., "frank" would return all instructors named Frank, and also instructors named Franke and Franklin), place a comma directly after the last name ("Frank," -- instead of -- "Frank") to exclude longer last names.

UCInetID/Empl.ID:
Specify an instructor's employee ID number (9 digits, starting with "090" or "091"), or 3-8 character UCI Net ID (used for UCI email addresses), and the program will return all courses with an instructor matching that ID. See the department's Schedule of Classes coordinator if an instructor's ID isn't associated with the instructor's course in our records.
Search on
5-digit Course Codes:
The 5-digit code representing a course in the printed Schedule of Classes. The first two digits designate a department code, while the last 3 digits are assigned by the department and can change quarter to quarter.
The course code is used for registration by students through WebReg and on ADD/DROP/CHANGE cards.
Note that you can specify several course codes or a range of codes in this input box. For example, "07050 07060-07080" would list course 07050 and all courses from 07060 to 07080.
