The Registrar's Office is the official custodian of student academic records and, upon request, provides official copies of UCI transcripts. Transcripts may be requested either in person or through the mail. *Please note: The Registrar's Office does not maintain transcripts for coursework taken through UC Irvine Extension. For Extension transcript information, visit their website.
Payment for official copies of transcripts must be received at the Cashier's Office before a request for official transcripts can be processed. UC Irvine does not accept credit or debit card payment for transcripts and cannot accept requests for official transcripts made via phone, fax, or e-mail. REQUEST METHODS FOR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
Unofficial (student copy) transcripts may be obtained in person or by mailing the Registrar's Office a signed written request for an unofficial transcript with an accompanying self-addressed, stamped envelope. In addition to your signature, please be sure to include identifying information such as birth date and/or Social Security number to ensure that the correct record is produced. Important for Newly Graduated Students:
There is a six to eight week period of time after each quarter ends before degree information is available on official transcripts. If you are requesting transcripts by mail, you may submit your request with a note to "Hold" your transcripts until your degree has been posted. To verify the posting of your degree check your transcript information on StudentAccess or call the Registrar at (949) 824-6124.

FAQ's What is the fastest way for me to obtain an official copy of my transcript?
You may authorize another person to obtain your transcript for you between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, M-F. To do this, you must provide the person or the Registrar's Office (fax 949-824-7896) with a signed letter authorizing the person to obtain copies of your official transcript. Your letter should clearly provide the person's name (not "my mom" or "my friend") and should include some of your identifying information such as:
The person obtaining your transcript must bring photo ID. The Cashier's Office does not accept credit or debit cards for payment. Can UCI fax a copy of my transcript?For an additional $6.00 charge per copy, the Registrar's Office can fax an official transcript. Requests for faxed transcripts are processed within two working days of receipt and payment for the transcript and fax service. I am a foreign resident and do not have a U.S. bank account. How can I pay for my transcript?The Cashier's Office will accept international money orders. |
